The process of inventing the Bureau Dragon’s face was a way for me to investigate the attributes of imagination to inanimate objects.  The rustically decorative ears and nosepiece directly derive from the brass handle of a bureau.  Whether the Bureau Dragon gets its name from its features or the brown structural form it creeps behind is for you to decide.
